Our Commitment to Sustainability at Toxfree

Toxfree puts sustainability above all else. We go to great lengths to ensure that we do not cause harm to the environment, and we work with our clients and local communities to determine the most environmentally friendly way to manage waste. We have developed a number of initiatives to raise environmental awareness and develop more eco-conscious waste management strategies.

Karratha Recycling

Government recycling rebates are being collected and donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a worthy organisation.

In 2014, Toxfree launched to the public the very first recycling program to hit the Pilbara region. The collection was previously supplied to Toxfree employees within the area, but was recently expanded to include the wider public. Both weekly and fortnightly pick-up services are available in Dampier, Karratha, Roebourne, Point Sampson and Wickham. The waste is sent to the Toxfree Pilbara Resource Recovery Centre to be sorted, baled and shipped to recycling centres.

Protecting the Environment

Safety, Reliability and Sustainability. These are the core values of Toxfree that are fundamental to the way business is conducted.

The protection of the environment through the management of Toxfree’s facilities, purchasing policies, reducing reliance on raw materials and sustainably managing all wastes collected are some of the initiatives that Toxfree undertake to minimise impact on the environment.

Toxfree has a comprehensive range of licensed waste treatment facilities and technologies. Toxfree’s vehicles and facilities hold appropriate dangerous goods and prescribed waste transport licenses.

Community Support

Toxfree is proud of its growth throughout Australia, now operating from over 85 locations, and with this growth has come a continued investment into local communities.

Toxfree are involved in a number of initiatives across Australia including the introduction of recycling education programs into local schools, Indigenous community support programs, community ‘clean up’ days, sponsorships of local sporting and charity clubs, and supporting many of its staff in their ‘out of work’ adventures including fun runs and charity car rallies!

QUEST System

In our continued drive to streamline our processes and maximise efficiencies so that we can deliver the best possible results for our customers and stakeholders, we have developed an innovative integrated management system called QUEST. QUEST stands for Quality, Environment, Safety and Training, which perfectly reflects our values and goals as an organisation. The QUEST system has been implemented and adopted across all areas of the organisation, meaning that everybody at Toxfree is on the same page and working towards a common goal — which is to be the leading industrial services and waste management company.
