Toxfree offers a specialist service for resource recovery from the following forms of packaging: steel drums, tins, equipment-decontamination and shredding, plastic drums, pails, stretchwrap, pallets, cores, trays, rollers, reels caps and other packaging items.
Toxfree’s Narangba plant in Brisbane destroys PCB oil and PCB-contaminated oil contained in obsolete electrical transformers and capacitors. Transformers contain significant quantities of copper and steel, which are decontaminated by use of a thermal desorption process resulting in the recovery of clean metal which is subsequently sold for recycling.
