Robert McKinnon, Non-Executive Chairman

Robert McKinnon is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia. Robert has been a Managing Director of Fleetwood Corporation Limited and Austal Limited. He has a career spanning over 30 years in senior financial and general management positions. Other current directorships include Non-Executive Director of Bank of Western Australia Limited, Non-Executive Chairman of the Esperance Port Authority and Non-Executive Director of Programmed Maintenance Services Limited.

 
Steve Gostlow, Managing Director

Steve Gostlow joined Toxfree in April 2002 initially responsible for Toxfree’s North West Operations in Port Hedland in the capacity of North West Regional Manager.  At this time Steve was responsible for the development of Toxfree Pilbara Resource Recovery Centre located in Karratha and the development of Toxfree’s total waste management services to the resource sector in the Pilbara region.

In February 2004, Steve was appointed State Manager, Western Australia and in January 2005 Steve was appointed Managing Director.  Since this time Steve has overseen the development of Toxfree from the company’s initial two sites in Western Australia employing 20 people to Toxfree’s current operations incorporating over 57 business units across Australia employing in excess of 1100 people and generating revenues in excess of $400 million.  

Steve is a qualified Environmental Scientist with over 17 years’ experience in the waste management industry. He has a background in waste treatment, waste technologies and regulatory compliance. Previous to Toxfree Steve was employed by the Western Australian State Environmental Protection Agency within the waste management and compliance sections.

 
Michael Hu​mphris, Non-Executive Director

Michael Humphris is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years' experience in the areas of business advice, corporate recovery and dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in business reconstructions, enhancing value for shareholders, divestments, mergers and acquisitions. Other current directorships include Non-Executive Chairman of Virax Holdings Ltd, Non-Executive Chairman of CNPR Ltd.

 
Richard Allen, Non-Executive Director
Richard Allen

Richard Allen is a Civil Engineer who has significant experience in management and leadership of public and private companies both nationally and internationally. Richard has operated businesses in the Middle East and Asia as well as Australia, with the bulk of his experience focused around upstream oil and gas exploration and development, environmental services and in more recent years the renewable energy sector. Other current directorships included Director of Renewable Heat & Power Limited and Plantation Energy Australia Pty Ltd.

 
Kathy Hirschfeld, Non-Executive Director
Katherine Hirschfeld

2013 - current
Kathy is a qualified chemical engineer, and is internationally experienced in non-executive and executive capacities. Kathy has senior executive experience derived from an international career with BP which encompassed leadership and executive roles in oil refining, logistics, exploration and production. Kathy has a strong track record of creating value in complex, global manufacturing businesses as well as safety, operations and risk management. Kathy was previously Managing Director of BP Refinery (Bulwer Island) Pty Ltd and a non-executive of InterOil Corporation, Broadspectrum Limited, ASC Pty Ltd, Snowy Hydro Limited, Refining New Zealand. Kathy is a Senator of the University of Queensland and a board member of UN Women Australian National committee.

 
David McArthur, Company Secretary
David McArthur

David McArthur is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in the corporate management of publicly listed companies. He has also been finance director and CFO for a number of public companies listed in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. He remains an executive director and company secretary for a number of listed entities. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and project development.

Established and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2000, Toxfree has experienced substantial growth during this time, achieved through acquisitions, new green-field developments and the organic growth of our existing businesses. Back in 2000, we employed 20 people, and operated from two locations in Kwinana and Port Hedland, today Toxfree employs over 1600 people and provides national services from over 80 locations Australia wide.   Read More
